The Gehmann Rear Sight Iris 565 is a high-end rear sight aperture developed for precision and competition shooters who demand absolute control over their sight picture. Widely used in 50m 3P rifle and advanced 10m air rifle shooting, this iris offers unmatched flexibility in light management and contrast control.

At its core is an adjustable iris ranging from 0.5 mm to 3.0 mm, manufactured under Gehmann’s latest patent for smooth, precise, and repeatable adjustment. The iris is complemented by two independent polarisation filters: one ring eliminates glare and controls the white round target, while the second ring regulates the amount of light passing through the sight. These filters can be used individually or together, allowing shooters to fine-tune their vision for changing light conditions.

The iris also includes six optically flat glass colour filters—orange, light green, yellow, medium grey, dark grey, and amethyst—which significantly enhance contrast and clarity. Internal surfaces are finished in matt black to minimize reflections and distortion, ensuring a clean and sharp sight picture.

Threaded for standard target rear sights, the Gehmann 565 features a removable steel thread, allowing retro-fitting with the Gehmann 50309 magnifying diopter (-4.5 to +4.5). A locking collar enables precise V-mark positioning, while laser-engraved markings ensure easy and accurate adjustments.
