This company is currently under the charge of the Knobloch Brothers, Frank and Thomas. However, this company was founded by their father Bruno Knobloch. He was a German Champion as well as a skilled optician.
For the longest time, shooters did not have any form of refined equipment in the form of shooting glasses. They just had simple lens holders that were soldered to a wire frame. Not the most innovative form of equipment. These contraptions could not be adjusted and were very inflexible and rigid.
However, Bruno Knobloch had a different idea. He created a variable system that was able to fabricate and adjust different types of glasses for shooters.
So, in 1957 he patented the first shooting glasses system. This was the start to his entrepreneurial journey and his business grew, and continues to do so till this date.
Bruno Knobloch’s initial design was just the foundation upon which multiple layers of modifications have been made. His glasses system was improved upon by more innovations that were mostly developed under the guidance of professional shooters from around the world.
So, all in all, it is clear that Knobloch has some of the best quality shooting in the market. Thus, it is no surprise that if we watch any Pistol Shooting Finals we will most definitely find Knobloch’s shooting glasses being used by most.
