This company has a long-standing history behind it. It was founded in 1856 by Julius Gottfried Anschutz who was the son of a gunsmith. He started off producing pocket pistols and shotguns. However, after some time the small workshop is converted into a small factory.
The death of the founder Julius in 1901, however, did not mean the end of the company. The company was passed down from generation to generation, growing bigger and reaching new heights of success with each generation. In the past 160 years, six generations of this family have worked in this field and proven that they are not going anywhere.
In 1950, they started to produce air pistols and match rifles and so they achieved success in shooting sports as well. And so, till date, this company has innovated and developed. This is why it is not surprising that the name Anschutz is associated with countless success stories on a national and international level.
